CONCERTO NIGHT

Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 pm

Audition recordings must be received by May 9. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 16. Audition recordings should be emailed to audition@suzukimemphis.com or mailed to: Memphis Suzuki Institute, 6606 Sungate Circle, Bartlett, TN 38135.

This special evening program features selected Suzuki Institute students performing solos accompanied by the faculty string orchestra.  Students wishing to perform must submit a video recording of a polished performance of any of the pieces listed below.  Because a maximum of 12 students will be selected based upon audition, no submissions will be considered if received after May 9. Registration and payment must accompany audition materials.

VIOLIN

Bach – A minor Concerto, any movement
Vivaldi – Concerto in G Minor, first movement
Suzuki Violin School, Volume 4, any piece or movement
Bach – “Double”, must be auditioned with another student as a pair

VIOLA

Telemann – Concerto in G Major, second movement

CELLO

Breval – Sonata in C Major, Op. 40, No. 1
Goltermann – Concerto No. 4
Breval – Concerto, No. 2 in D Major, Rondo

PIANO

Clementi – Sonatina, Op. 36, No. 1
Kuhlau – Sonatina, Op. 55, No. 1
Clementi – Sonatina, Op. 36, No. 3
Beethoven – Sonatina, Op. 49, No. 2
Haydn – Sonata, Op. 48, first movement
